Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider that operates the tool. That provider processes the query. We do not retain those search terms in our own logs.
Messages and Contact Submissions
Email messages may be kept long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. They remain internal unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems automatically receive basic technical details when a page loads:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device to measure traffic and understand how visitors move among pages. Analytics services combine that activity into reports. A browser can block cookies, though some features may then work differently.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not build, keep, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The site identifies where Marion County files are held and how to approach the sheriff, court clerks, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or dossier about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search tools. Their privacy terms, retention rules, and sharing practices govern information submitted to them. Review the provider's policy before entering a query because we do not control those practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links to official agencies, courts, and outside services lead away from our pages. The destination's privacy policy then controls the visit, so read it before providing personal information.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. We do not operate that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices protect collected data. No internet service is completely secure, however, and an absolute guarantee against unauthorized access cannot be made.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Notice of such information will be reviewed for deletion.
Your Data Rights
Depending on coverage and applicable exceptions, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Business & Commerce Code Chapter 541, may provide rights concerning personal data. Texas criminal-history access is separately limited by Government Code Chapter 411. A visitor may ask to:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
